This category included criteria such as whether the work is consistently interesting and challenging, whether distribution and quality of work assignments are fair and appropriate, the degree of responsibility given to associates, and whether overall professional growth is facilitated.
Mentoring
82% of respondents surveyed strongly agree that the mentoring at Boughton ranked highly. This category included criteria such as whether the firm has a formal and helpful mentoring program, whether associates receive useful feedback and mentoring from partners, whether promotion and recognition are based on merit, and whether partners are open with associates about the firm's overall business.
91% or respondents strongly agreed that Boughton has an excellent continuing legal education program in place. This ranks within the top four of any National or Regional firm surveyed, irrespective of size.
Culture
87% of respondents surveyed strongly agree that Boughtons’ direction and actions enhance collegiality among associates. Boughton stood out among the other National and Regional firms in this category. We are proud to have a corporate culture which encourages and supports individuals who have a diversity of interests, backgrounds and personalities.
Administration
85% of respondents surveyed strongly agree that Boughton has excellent administration and high quality support staff. Many other firms ranked well below this average. Some comments featured in the Lexpert Guide about the administration include: “Firm admin is excellent” and “Firm is organized, everything runs a lot smoother”.
Hours
53% of respondents surveyed strongly agree that there is no pressure to meet billable hour expectations.
Rewards
71% of respondents surveyed strongly agree that the income earned is adequate given the workload.
